I recently stayed at a beautiful hotel in an idyllic spot just a short drive from PDX. The room was perfect, complete with a cozy fireplace. The pool was quiet and high quality, and the outdoor hot tub was a great addition. The hotel has added exciting new activities like ziplines, hiking trails, and bike trails. The view of the Columbia River gorge and mountains was breathtaking. a casual, clean, and quiet lodge perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like myself.

The property had beautiful grounds and a lodge-like atmosphere, creating a relaxing getaway. The view of the Columbia River and Gorge was stunning, and it was a convenient hour drive from downtown Portland. The casual restaurant on-site, River Rock, offered decent food and nice views.
There were a few issues during my stay. The outdoor hot tub was broken, and there was no notification beforehand.

The view of the Columbia River gorge and mountains is amazing. The hotel itself is nice, with a beautiful lobby and outdoor hot tub. The casual restaurant serves good food, and the king suite room we upgraded to was spacious and comfortable. The outdoor fire pit area and trails around the property were also great.
Almost perfect, but a few areas for improvement. We expected a bit more service for the price we paid, such as valet parking or assistance with our bags.

The location of the lodge in the surrounding mountains is absolutely stunning. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the Columbia River and the Oregon Mountains of the Gorge from their rooms. The casual restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is attentive to the restroom changing area. Nature lovers will be thrilled to see eagles soaring overhead and enjoy the peacefulness of being on the river. The rooms are clean and spacious, offering a comfortable stay.
It would have been better if the outdoor hot tub was open, as it is a main attraction for many guests.

Our stay at Skamania Lodge was fantastic! We got great value for our money with a perfect room and breathtaking views. The staff treated us exceptionally well and the location was peaceful and beautiful.
The only thing that could make the breakfast option better is more variety in the menu.

As a couple, we loved the beautiful setting and grounds of the lodge. The recently renovated rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a fresh look. The bedding and pillows were especially nice, ensuring a good night's sleep. The lobby and common areas were also outstanding, with nice furnishings and original artwork. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The onsite restaurants offered great food at fair prices, and we especially enjoyed the options at the Cascade Dining Room and Greenside Grill. There were also fun activities to do, such as golfing and hiking on the well-maintained trails. a wonderful experience that we plan on returning to in a few months.
Felt lucky, no complaints.

Staff very professional and friendly. Location is perfect for viewing the beauty of the gorge and the Columbia. Open area of lounge with massive fireplace (real wood) comfortable chairs and view is wonderful for relaxing and reading.
Mattress was not quite as comforatable as I expected for a luxury hotel.
